Inn2POWER: Innovation to Push Offshore Wind Energy Regions

With Inn2POWER, partners from Flanders, the United Kingdom, Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands join forces to support SMEs in the North Sea area in setting up cooperation in the field of maintenance and monitoring of offshore wind farms. The ultimate goal is to reduce the Levelised Cost of Energy (LCOE).

Through Inn2POWER, Flemish suppliers in the offshore wind industry will have easier access to a stronger framework for international cooperation in the North Sea area and to international testing facilities.

Actions include identifying and facilitating transnational business cases, optimising the logistic chain in the offshore wind industry (ports) and developing business models for shared services and test sites. The projects also takes into account the (future) workforce in the sector and develops MBA modules tailored to companies as part of a master’s degree.

The project has been extended by a year and a half

Within the project framework, they also called on Cowboy Henk to bring the benefits of offshore wind energy to the attention of the general public in a playful manner. An exhibition consisting of ten paintings in which the cartoon figure highlights the benefits of offshore wind energy runs at the Spinola dike until the end of September. A brochure about the exhibition has also been published.
