Second call for SME growth subsidy
It is not easy to innovate for small and medium-sized enterprises, because the available financial means of such companies are usually limited. The Flemish government has created the SME growth subsidy for these companies.
The SME growth subsidy is meant to support companies wishing to explore new markets or wanting to launch new products in the market. Project proposals are only eligible for financial support if they tie in with certain key societal topics.
The second call of the SME growth subsidy of 2022 is now open. This call’s relevant topics are: internationalisation; digitisation; sustainable and circular entrepreneurship; and innovation. Does your project fit within these topics? Submit your project before 31 August.
Criteria
All timely submitted project proposals will be assessed on 4 criteria:
1. Ambition: does the applicant have a concrete and ambitious vision?
2. Transformation: does this growth project have an impact on current operations and/or critical business processes?
3. Substantiated approach: does the company have a well-thought-out roadmap to realise the growth project?
4. Need for know-how & expertise: could the company implement the growth project successfully without acquiring certain knowledge?
Projects for which all criteria are evaluated as worthy of support will be given a score based on a scoring grid.
Has this call been launched a little too early for your company or project proposal? No problem, Flanders Innovation & Entrepreneurship (VLAIO) organises three calls a year. The timing of the relevant calls can be found below:
