Exclusive networking opportunities and in-depth insights
By way of introduction, the delegation attended the exclusive VIP dinner of the Belgian Offshore Days on Wednesday evening. This offered a first opportunity to network with Belgian and international players in the sector.
Then we brought the international experts together the next day for an exciting conference on the future of offshore wind energy. Current and planned developments were discussed for each country, after which the delegations exchanged valuable insights and explored new collaborations.
At the exhibition, the delegation discovered the Belgian supply chain, where companies such as 24Sea, Marlinks, Otary, Parkwind, DEME, Jan De Nul, Sarens, Smulders, Tractebel, Bexco, e-BO Enterprises, GEOxyz, Sentea and Port of Ostend presented their expertise and innovations.
Finally, on Friday 14 March, we visited several leading offshore research and innovation centres in Ostend, including Ostend Science Park, The Reef, the Coastal and Ocean Basin and the Marine Robotics Centre of the Flanders Marine Institute.
The visit to the Belgian Offshore Days offered a unique opportunity to strengthen international cooperation in the offshore wind sector and to promote knowledge exchange between Belgian and foreign partners.
