On 12 December 2024, the European Marine Biological Resource Centre (EMBRC-BE) and the Flemish Aquaculture Platform host the Aquaculture Forum 2024 - Navigating Ecological Considerations and Sustainability in Mariculture Practices.

During this symposium, various stakeholders from the sector will come together to discuss the threats and opportunities for ecological sustainable marine aquaculture. The following thematic sessions will take place:

  • Aquaculture in the open sea
  • Aquaculture on land
  • Restorative aquaculture
  • Belgian initiatives in a context of ecologically sustainable aquaculture
